An oasis, in a desert of huge sand dunes, home to dune buggies, sandboarding and a surprising nightlife. We spent an afternoon out on the dunes exploring in a buggy before using a snowboard to run down the dunes. In the evening we explored the bars and a Peruvian nightclub of the town with a couple of new friends from the UK, around 5am we made our way back to the hostel for a few hours kip before boarding the overnight bus to Cusco (some 18 hours on Peru Hop).

As part of the journey we stopped off at a Pisco vineyard, which helped kick the hangover and reached the Nazca lines as the sun set.
