So we arrived in Costa Rica at around midnight and got to our hosts place around 1am, a very lovely couple Julio and Angelita who live north of San Jose. The following day they gave as an excellent “typico” breakfast and even more kindly also let us eat lunch with them while we a waited for our 2.30pm bus to Montervede, a very generous family. From their family home, now filled with cousins for a party, we got a cab to the bus station and journeyed four hours to Monteverde.
