So, after getting the boat from Nusa Penida to Padang Bai we stayed at home of a Dutch lady who’d been here for over 20 years and almost had an open house of international student types, it was ok but a little noisy at night.

 

In the morning, our friend Gusti came and collected us and we headed north first visiting the Jatiluwih Rice Terraces, the largest in Bali. Next we headed on to Air Panas Angseri thermal pools before Gusti took us back to his place for lunch with his wife, Putu. Lovely to be back in his home again and see his wife and daughter back at Danu Beratan.

 

After lunch, we visited the Banyumala Twin Waterfalls before catching sunset at the twin lake lookout and recreating some photos from two and a half years ago when we visited this place before. By the evening we reached our hotel on the north west coast.
