The islands of Bocas del Toro have become a mecca for surfers as the area has a multitude of reef breaks. On the two days we had on the main island of Colon we managed to get out surfing both days, the first a lesson with the both of us and second day just Rory out on his own trying to catch some waves as I practised yoga. He had some mixed success, unsurprisingly, catching waves own his own. From the islands of Bocas we took a glacier cold night bus to Panama city that actually worked really well as we got some sleep and arrived around 6:30am.
